A good friend of mine, Jared Shores, has found himself in the leading role for a web series being produced by a BYU film class. It's called The Book of Je3miah and it is a constantly evolving series about a kid, Jeremiah Whitney (played by Jared), who attends BYU and is learning about strange developments from his past. It's kind of a conspiracy based plot where an evil organization is thopught to be after him. Every episode you learn more about who he is and who is chasing him.

What makes it truly interesting is that clues are given in each episode and viewers try to play a part in the story. As an example, clues show up in the episodes that have led BYU students to find stashed notes and files in various areas on campus and online. In this way, it makes it pretty fun to follow along.

While the subject matter is fairly "BYU bubble" or LDS oriented it has been fun to follow along and try to decipher clues, etc. You can think of it as a kind of Mormon Da Vinci Code.

so i found this through word of mouth. it's probably one of the coolest interactive graphs ever created and what makes it even cooler is that it represents data on movies! check it out. be sure to click on the different movies to see more detail.

A-PUNK

i know this song is probably old news by now but i just saw the video and thought it was pretty cool. i like the idea that bands are making interesting videos and it's become acceptable to do it on a low budget. it's about the ideas more than the expensive equipment or the production quality.

on a side note, vampire weekend's other video couldn't seem any more to me like a rip off of wes anderson. does anyone else agree with me?
